Radiator Charlie's Mortgage Lifter Tomato

Solanum lycopersicum Heirloom 80-85 days Indeterminate Developed by Marshall Cletis Byles of Logan, West Virginia a mechanic known as Radiator Charlie in the 1940's. His shop was located by a steep hill that was infamous for overheating trucks. This self-taught plant breeder sold his tomato starts for a dollar apiece and paid off his $6000 mortgage. In 1985 he shared this variety with the Southern Exposure Seed Exchange and now we get to share his bounty with this productive and drought tolerant tomato. ~ 25 seeds
