Triticum aesitivum ssp aesitivum Heirloom High yielding, higher gluten strength and early maturing made this 1907 Canadian variety introduction a premier bread baking wheat that gained Canada as the leader in wheat exporting nations by 1918. Matures 7-10 days earlier than its equally well known parent Red Fife. Grown by local farmer, Doug Mosel of the Mendocino Grain Project. ~200 seeds
